AES' visual identity guidelines
Infographics
To tell our stories, we often need to depict functional information that leads with data. To keep this data visually unified, we developed an infographic style that includes stylized charts, graphs and diagrams. These elements utilize our signature colors and typography to ensure that our data visualization fits within our brand and is distinctly AES.

Overview
Infographics should use our AES signature colors. To support these colors, our neutrals and 25%, 50% and 75% tints can be used.
Backgrounds
Infographics should be shown on a white background where possible. However, gray backgrounds can also be implemented for highlighting purposes.
Color infographics should be used on white or Gray 01 backgrounds.
Black text can be used on Gray 01, Gray 02 and Gray 03 backgrounds.
For simpler infographics—where only four colors are needed—always use the four AES signature colors. Signature colors denote the most recent or most important aspect of the infographic. As more colors are required, tints or neutrals can be added.
Type
When using text within infographics, always ensure text is fully legible.
Text should be either black or white, and shouldn’t be below 6pt. Refer to ‘Type on color’ for best practice.
Ensure sufficient contrast between colors by adding white space between components.
Incorrect usage
Do not use non-brand colors. (Use AES signature colors for infographics.)
Only use tints when more than four colors are needed. Use as many signature colors as possible.
Add white space between colors. (Be particularly careful of using AES Green and AES Aqua together.)
Do not use white text on infographics using 25% tints.
Do not put infographics on Gray 02, Gray 03 or photographic backgrounds.
Do not use colored type within infograpahics. Only use black or white type on infographics.
Do not use only tints to color infographics. Use at least one AES signature color as the primary, or most important piece of information.
